This has reference to the article ‘ Kashmir unrest affects Jammu’ DE Aug 1.
The topography of Jammu and Kashmir is such that if one region gets hit due to man made or nature-made calamities, two other regions also get automatically hit.
The three regions- Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh are dependent on one another, financially, economically or emotionally. When sometime back Amarnath land row hit Jammu region, it hit Ladakh and Kashmir as well. The present unrest in Kashmir has affected all activities-business, education and tourism in all parts of the State. All the three regions are suffering in one way or other. No segment of society has been left untouched.
The situation therefore wants that all stakeholders from the three regions come together to redress the grievance, the State is afflicted is with. There is no room to play politics over issues that confront the State. There should be no scope for regionalism or religious consideration which have signed the State.
