JAMMU, Oct 22: A delegation of Kashmiri migrants under the leadership of its chairmanship of president, Romesh Chander Mahajan and called on Chief Electoral Officer, J&K Railway Head Jammu today .
The delegation demanded Election Department for extension of date from October 26 to November 10 with extended in the online website for enrolment of eligible voter so that eligible voters may not be deprived of their franchise to avoid any inconvenience in future whereas such period does not suffice their purpose and hence it is there dire request to Chief Electoral Officer of J&K to extend the date up to 15 days so that public grievances may be redressed at grass root level while the detailed voters list is required to be revised immediately at the earliest before the upcoming Assembly elections so that the maximum 100 percent participation of all migrants and general public of J&K can choose their representatives /MLAs.
