JAMMU, Jan 24: In connection with Republic Day celebrations J and K Academy of Art Culture and Languages in collaboration with Naagraad Adbi Sangam, Jammu today organised a Kashmiri Mehefil -Mushaira at K L Saigal hall today.
Dr Arvinder Singh ‘Amn’ Additional Secretary, Academy of Art, Culture and Languages in his welcome address congratulated the poets and the distinguished guests and said that to celebrate the Republic Day various State and national level events and activities for the promotion and enrichment of Art , culture and languages are being organized by the Academy.
A Book namely ‘Osh te Achar’ written by Roshan Lal Roshan was also released on this occasion.
Prof PN Trishal, prominent literary personality, who graced the occasion as chief guest, in his address congratulated the poets and the author of the book which released on this occasion and also expressed his satisfaction about the literary work being done by the scholars and the writers of the Kashmiri community.
The prominent poets who recited their latest and unpublished kalams including J N Sagar, P N Shaad, A K Naaz, M L Masroof, S N Sanam, Ashok Gowhar, K L Pardesi, Mohan Dildar, Rajender Agoosh, B K Sanyasi, Brij Hali, Kundan Paras, A K Zadoo, Roshan Lal Roshan, Kalhan Koul, Vijay Wali, B N Abilash and B L Arpen.
The prominent among those who attended the Mushaira were M L Pandita, Shabir Ahmed, Sushil Sharma, Avtar Hugami besides, various social and cultural activists.
Dr Alamdar Hussain, Culture Officer Pahari, presented vote of thanks and invited to the poets and the audience present in the Hall to attend all India Mushaira which is the annual and mega literary activity of national level activity, on January 28, 2017 at 4:30 pm at Abhinav Theatre, Jammu.
