Kashmiri woman commits suicide, another attempts

JAMMU, Nov 15: A Kashmiri woman allegedly committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substance at her residence in Muthi area of the city outskirts.
As per reports, Anita Bhat, wife of Manohar Nath Bhat of Muthi, allegedly consumed some poisonous substance at her residence yesterday.
Noticing her unconscious, family members shifted her to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where she failed to respond to the treatment and breathed her last today.
The body was handed over to legal heirs after autopsy, while, police has registered a case to ascertain the reason behind such extreme step.
Meanwhile, 32 year-old Rohit Gupta, son of Ram Saroop of Ward number 7, District Udhampur, made an abortive attempt on his life by consuming some poisonous substance.
Family members shifted him to District Hospital Udhampur, where his condition was stated to be stable, when last reports came in.
However, reason behind such extreme step could not be ascertained, while, police has registered a case and investigation started.
