SRINAGAR, Oct 9: Kashmiri youth today rescued an injured Army soldier who was trapped inside a mangled vehicle that had met with an accident at Lasjan along Srinagar Bypass on the city outskirts.
The Army vehicle had skidded off the road after its driver lost control at Lasjan and met with an accident. Soon after the accident, the local youth rushed to the spot and rescued the trapped soldier. Earlier, the soldier’s colleagues tried to rescue him but all efforts proved futile.
The entire scene was filmed by the civilians and the video clip got viral on ‘You Tube’, social networking sites and messaging applications, inviting praise from all sections. The act of the local youth even prompted Army to thank the youth officially.
