KATHUA, Mar 6: The public of Kathua today accorded rousing reception to Colors Channel icon Vikramjeet Singh.
Vikramjit Singh who is serving in Indian Tibetan Border Police was recently selected by Colors Channel for its Rising Stars Programmer after nation-wide screening and last week after series of rounds, he succeeded in getting selected in finalist’s panel of Rising Star numbering sixteen.
Today on his arrival from Mumbai, he was received by hundreds of enthusiastic youth of the town who profusely garlanded him and took him in a cavalcade of vehicles through main bazars of the town.
Enroute, the people of the town garlanded him and wished him success in final rounds. It is pertinent to mention here that Vikramjeet Singh hails from Barnoti- Nanan area of Kathua District and has no formal training in singing but still he has enthralled the top jury of the judges and emerged as popular choice because of his singing skills.
ADC Kathua, Dr. Bharat Bhushan also felicitated the Rising Star when his cavalcade reached near civil secretariat, Kathua.
Naresh Kumar, Director of Learning Temple English School Kathua, Charnjeet Singh Bhola, district President of Shiromani Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee and prominent people from different walks of life congratulated the Rising Star.
Later Vikramjeet Singh paid obeisance at Gurudwara Guru Singh Sabha Kathua located at Mukhrjee Chowk of the town and after that he was accorded civic reception at Learning Temple English School, Kathua.
Vikramjeet Singh thanked all the participants and assured that he will try his best to come out with flying colors.
