KATHUA, Dec 3: Depart-ment of Computer Science and IT, Kathua Campus of Jammu University, today organized a campus placement drive at its Campus for MCA, BE./B Tech. (CSE & IT) and M Tech (CSE& IT) students of Kathua Campus in particular and other institutes and colleges of region in general.
The drive was conducted by a software development company Skyach Software Solutions Pvt Ltd, Chandigarh, which is a leading IT firm providing high quality web designs and creative digital solutions to clients all over the globe.
In the drive, Anu Paul, Preeti Devi and Sachin Kumar were selected from Kathua Campus. Rahul Sharma, Gulshan Kumar and Shriya Gupta were selected from Ramnagar Campus while Pranav Vaid was selected from Bhargava College of Engineering and Technology. Anshulika Nanda and Sahil Gupta from MIET, Arushi Gupta and Koshik Raina from Mahant Bachittar Singh College of Engineering and Technology and Kavita Bardwaj from Institute of Management Sciences were selected while Abhinov Koul from MIET was in the waiting list.
Software Engineers Rahul Ranchal, Ankush Gupta, Harpreet Singh and Jaspreet Singh represented the company and conducted whole process of the drive. The selection process from Skyach Software Solutions Pvt Ltd included five stages that comprised of Mindset Aptitude Written Test, Technical Written Test, Logical Database Interview and Technical Interview followed by HR Interview.
More than 100 students from various institutions, including Ramnagar Campus, Mahant Bachittar Singh College of Engineering and Technology, MIET, Institute of Management Sciences, Bhargava College of Engineering and Technology and Kathua Campus itself enrolled for the drive.
The placement drive was conducted under the supervision of Professor Meena Sharma, Rector, Kathua Campus and Chief Coordinator Campuses. She assured the students that more companies will be approached for visit to the campus so that placement avenues for the students could be worked out.
Sourabh Shastri coordinated the whole process of placement drive. He assured the visiting company that they would get best quality students from Kathua Campus. Other faculty members of the Department also contributed for smooth conduct of the placement drive.
