JAMMU : Altogether six people including two militants of Lashkar outfit, as many CRPF personnel, a civilian and a constable of Jammu and Kashmir police were killed in an ensuing gun battle in Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir today. The gun battle started this morning when a group of armed militants attacked the Raj Bagh Police Station. “Two holed up militants have been killed in the combat operation,” a police official here told. He said two CRPF jawans, a civilian and a police cop had also lost their lives in the fierce encounter. “The operation is still in progress,” he said, adding that the traffic on the Jammu-Pathankot National Highway had been suspended while the schools have also been closed. Further details are awaited, he said.
