Kathua police arrests 2 absconders

KATHUA, Nov 21: District Police Kathua under the overall supervision of SSP Kathua, Shivdeep Singh Jamwal has started a special drive to arrest the absconders against whom cases have been framed in various police stations.
Police said today a team of Police Station (PS), Rajbagh arrested two absconders including Liaqat Ali, son of Mohammad Sharief of Badyar Kokernag and Abdul Majid, son of Mohammad Iqbal of Hanjipura district Anantnag.
The Accused were absconding and evading arrest. Police said warrant under Section 512 CrPC had been issued against them earlier.
It said warrant has been issued by Judicial Magistrate First Class, Hiranagar in case FIR No. 167/2008 U/S 188/RPC, 3/PCA of PS Rajbagh. The authorities have been searching for the defendant since the issuance of the warrant, police said.
A team of Police Station, Rajbagh headed by Inspector, Tariq Ahmed, SHO, PS Rajbagh under the guidance of SDPO Border, Dheeraj Singh Katoch has made the arrest and later produced the absconder in the Court of law.
