KATHUA, May 17 : Acting sternly against drug menace, a team of Police Post Nagri led by SI Vikas Jasrotia during patrolling duty in Chak Drab Khan area, arrested two ladies with heroin and illicit liquor. They were identified as Paramjit W/o Shashi and Rekha Devi both residents of Chak Drab Khan. Police recovered 4.5 grams heroin and 14 liters of illicit liquor from their possession.
Police has registered case FIR No 170/2018 U/S 8,21,22 NDPS Act 48(a) Excise Act at Police Station Kathua.
In another incident today a team of Police Post Nagri conducted raid in Kulian area of Nagri and booked three gamblers along with Rs 4480 stake money and playing cards.
They were identified as Ashwani Kumar S/o Jagga Ram R/o Chack Dhrab Khan tehsil and district Kathua, Surinder S/o Shamlal R/o Chack Dhrab Khan, tehsil and district Kathua and Rony Sharma S/o Ravi Sharma R/o Ward Number 6 Kathua. Further investigation in the matter has been started by police.
