KATHUA, July1: District Police Kathua under the overall supervision of SSP Kathua, R C Kotwal, arrested an infamous criminal under Public Safety Act (PSA) .
Police said a team led by Inspector, O P Chib SHO Police Station (PS) Kathua under the supervision of DySP Headquarters, Kathua, Shammi Kumar on June 29 arrested an infamous criminal Mushtaq Ahmed son of Kasim Din of Ward No. 12 tehsil and district Kathua who was evading his arrest from last few months and against whom a detention warrant under Section 8 of Jammu and Kashmir Public Safety Act 1978 was issued by District Magistrate Kathua.
In order to prevent his illegal activities in criminal cases, a dossier was prepared against him and sent to District Magistrate, Kathua for his detention under Public Safety Act(PSA). Accordingly District Magistrate, Kathua issued a detention warrant against him under Public Safety Act (PSA) and warrant has been executed yesterday and he was lodged in Central Jail, Kot Bhalwal Jammu to curtail his criminal activities.
