Kathua Police rescues 5 bovine animals

KATHUA, Mar 16: Kathua Police rescued five bovine animals during a naka in early this morning.
According to police a police party of Police Post Nagri led by IC PP Nagri laid down a naka at Khokhyal on a  specific information and intercepted one Tata Mobile bearing registration No JK08-0188 loaded with bovine animals which were on way from Punjab towards Jammu.
During checking of the vehicle, police rescued five bovine animals which were being transported in it. However the driver of the vehicle and his associate after noticing the police party managed to escape from the spot taking the advantage of darkness leaving behind the vehicle.
In this regard a case FIR No 80/2017 U/S 188 RPC, 3/5 PC Act stands registered at P/S Kathua and investigation into the matter is in progress to nab the accused persons.
The drive was carried out under the supervision of Dy SP Headquarters, Kathua S S Sambyal and overall supervision of Pawan Parihar, SSP Kathua.
