KATHUA, Nov 16: Kathua police under the overall supervision of SSP Kathua, R C Kotwal today seized 10 liters of illicit liquor near Chamba Da Bagh here and arrested two persons in this connection.
Police team of Police Station (PS) Kathua led by Inspector, Om Parkash Chib SHO under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Kathua, Shammi Kumar during patrolling duty in its jurisdictional area near Chamba Da Bagh apprehended two suspected persons namely Chanda Ram son of Kartar Chand and Karan Kumar son of Chanda Ram both residents of Mirpur Jagoo, tehsil Nagri Parole Kathua.
On their physical checking, 10 liters of illicit liquor was recovered from their possession. Thereafter all the recovered consignment of illicit liquor was seized and two persons were arrested. In this connection a case vide FIR No. 488/2021 u/s 48 (a) Excise Act was registered at PS Kathua and further investigation has been initiated.
