KATHUA, Dec 28: In order to turn tough against the illegal mining in the area, a police team of Police Station (PS) Kathua led by Inspector, Om Parkash Chib, SHO, Police Station, Kathua under the supervision of DySP Headquarters, Kathua, Shammi Kumar in its jurisdictional area near Ravi river found three excavator machines bearing Model Number R215L, SY215C-9LC, SY2150-9LC and five vehicles (dumpers) bearing Registration Numbers viz. PB10-HN2446, PB35Q-1751, PB10HN-2432, respectively along with two dumpers bearing unknown registration number indulged in illegal mining which were being used for illegal transportation of construction material.
Meanwhile, three excavator machines along with five vehicles were seized and were immediately handed over to the officials of the Mining Department Kathua for further legal course of action.
The drive was conducted under the supervision of SSP Kathua, R C Kotwal.
