KATHUA, Apr 27: Kathua police has recovered 400 Parvon Spas capsules in the jurisdictional area of Police Station (PS) Kathua.
Two persons were arrested and all the recovered narcotics as well as scooty involved was also seized on the spot. This action is part of the War On Drugs and is aimed at neutralizing the activities of drug peddlers within the district.
Police said a team of PS Kathua headed by PSI Fida Hussain under the supervision of DySP Headquarters, Kathua, Manjeet Singh and Inspector, Sudhir Sadhotra, SHO PS Kathua conducted Naka checking in their jurisdictional area and apprehended two persons namely Bahadar Singh, son of Yograj Singh resident of Bhajura Sujanpur, tehsil & district, Pathankot and Arun Kumar, son of Tara Chand of Ward No. 09 Kathua.
Upon checking, approximately 400 Parvon Spas capsules were recovered from their possession. The scooty bearing Registration Number PB35AJ-6344 which the accused were driving around the Dream Land Park and New Sabzi Mandi Zanana Park area in Kathua along with all the narcotics recovered were also seized and two persons were arrested.
In this connection a case vide FIR Nos 175/2023 U/S 8/21/22/29/NDPS Act was registered at Police Station Kathua and further investigation is underway.
