KATHUA, Dec 10: Kathua police seized 5.95 grams of heroin (chitta) at Bhagthali area of Police Station (PS) Kathua and arrested one person and also seized his motorbike.
Police said a team of PS Kathua under the supervision of DySP Hqrs. Kathua and SHO PS Kathua laid down a routine naka/patrolling at Bhagthali area and during naka checking they apprehended one suspect namely, Mohammad. Sadiq, son of Sher Ali of Chan Charkhari Mathra Chak district Kathua who was found roaming in Bhagthali area on his motorbike bearing Registration Number. JK08P-3615 under suspicious circumstances . On Physical search, approximately 5.95 grams of heroin (chitta) like narcotics was recovered from his illegal possession. All the recovered narcotics approximately 5.95 grams heroin along with vehicle was seized and one person was arrested on the spot. A case FIR No. 391/2024 U/S 8/21/22/29 NDPS Act stands registered at Police Station(PS), Kathua and further investigation is under process.
