KATHUA, May 3: Kathua police has solved a robbery case by arresting two robbers and recovered stolen items , including three mobile phones along with one Pistol, one Magzine, four Live Rounds and one Sharp Edge Weapon from the offenders who were involved in the offence in the limits of Police Station(PS) Hiranagar.
While addressing media person SSP Kathua, RC Kotwal said that that yesterday a case was registered at PS Hiranagar on the complaint of Nirdosh Verma, son of Lal Man of Gurha Mundian tehsil, Hiranagar district Kathua in connection with theft in the Vishwakarma Jewellery Shop for which a case vide FIR No. 55/2022 U/S 392/452/447/ 323/34/IPC, 3/25, 4/24 Arms Act has been registered at PS Hiranagar.
As per the complainant at about 1720 hour, four unknown persons on two Motorcycle one bearing Registration Number PB02CM-1023 and other unknown registration number having a pistol and sharp edged weapon came inside the shop and robbed two boxes having 1.5kg Silver ornaments along with one Samsung mobile phone and fled away.
Acting on the same today police party of PS Hiranagar led by Inspector, Sumit Sharma SHO PS Hiranagar under the supervision of SDPO Border, Pankaj Soodan- today succeeded in arresting two robbers near Tarnah Nallah Dyalachak who tried to fled towards Punjab.
During sustained questioning both of the accused confessed their involvement and on their personal search one magazine and four live rounds were recovered from the one accused namely Inderjeet Singh @ Prince, son of Gurdeep Singh of Baaz Wali Kothi, Manj Road Amritsar and one sharp Edged weapon (Iron Toka) has been recovered from possession of other accused namely Vishal Singh son of Satnam Singh of Balmiki Mahla, Majitha Amritsar along with three mobile phones including stolen mobiles were also recovered by police. The search of other two absconders as well as further investigation of the case is going on.
Police said their involvement in any other case cannot be ruled out.
