Kathua police solves theft case, recovers stolen items

KATHUA, Dec 23: Kathua Police under the overall supervision of SSP Kathua has solved a theft case by arresting two thieves and recovered stolen electronic items from them in the limits of Police Station (PS) Rajbagh.
Police said on 16.10.2023 a complaint was received through one Hitesh Tak, son of Chuni Lal of Bkhta tehsil and district Kathua who reported at PP Jakhole regarding theft of electronic items for which a case was registered at PS Rajbagh vide FIR No. 274/2023 U/S 457/380 IPC.
Acting on the tip off, police team led by SHO, PS Rajbagh assisted by IC PP, Jakhole under the supervision of SDPO
Border apprehended two suspects namely, Suresh Verma, son of Kewel Krishan of Rakh Hoishayari tehsil and district Kathua. During sustained questioning, the said persons
confessed their involvement in the crime and the police team recovered 11 Earphones, seven Data Cables, eight Memory Cards of 4 GB, four Dry Small Battery, five Mobile Chargers, two Electric Torches, one Electric Extension, two Headphones Minisus, three speakers, one Charging Bulb, one Laser Stage Light Blue , one Ring fill light led, one Camera Stand, one Iron Rod from them which they HAD concealed at somewhere.
All the recovered stolen material was seized and both the thieves were arrested on spot whereas further investigation of the case is going on, police said.
