Kathua terror attack: Condemnations continue to pour in

JAMMU, July 9: Condemnation continued to pour in over the Kathua terror attack in which five jawans were martyred and five others were hurt.
BJP national general secretary Tarun Chugh, who is also the party incharge for J&K, paid a rich tribute to the five soldiers who died in a militant attack in Kathua region and said “It was a sign of Pakistan ISI’s nervous reaction to the peace and development that has come about in J&K during the tenure of Prime Minister Narendra Modi”.
“I extend my heartfelt condolences to the families of our brave soldiers who have made the ultimate sacrifice. Their martyrdom will not go in vain. This heinous act is a stark reminder of the evil forces that seek to disrupt peace and stability in our region”, said Chugh.
In a strongly worded statement, Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) Er Gulam Ali Khatana has vehemently condemned the yesterday’s ambush on an Army convoy.
Expressing profound grief over the loss of life, he stated, “I extend my deepest condolences to the bereaved families of the five brave soldiers who lost their lives in the terrorist attack in Machedi, Kathua. Their selfless service to the nation will always be remembered, and their sacrifice will not go unavenged. India will defeat the evil forces behind this attack.”
Former Deputy Chief Minister and senior BJP leader Kavinder Gupta also condemned the brutal terrorist attack in the Machedi area of Kathua.
In a scathing statement, he said, “These cowards will not be spared. I express my deepest sympathies to the bereaved families of our fallen heroes. I salute the martyrdom of the five jawans who laid down their lives in the line of duty. Their sacrifice will not be in vain.”
Lawyers from the Jammu Bar Association also held a protest here against the terror attack on an army patrol in Kathua, calling it as an act of cowardice by Pakistan-based terrorists.
In protest against the terrorist attack in Kathua district, Movement Kalki organized a strong demonstration at Jammu Bus Stand today. During the protest, an effigy of Pakistan was also burnt and demanded that the government take strict action to teach Pakistan a lesson.
Team Jammu today strongly condemned yesterday’s terrorist’s attack.Addressing the volunteers, Chairman Team Jammu, Zorawar Singh Jamwal said, “Nation salutes the martyrs who have laid down their precious lives in the line of duty. Our heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families.”
Rattan Lal Gupta, Provincial President of J&K National Conference, Jammu, has strongly condemned the recent terrorist attack on an army convoy. In a statement issued here today, the senior NC leader criticized the BJP government for its failure to effectively control the deteriorating security situation, pointing to multiple recent terrorist incidents across the Jammu region in the past few weeks.
Dogra Sadar Sabha (DSS) vehemently condemns the brutal attack carried out by enemy agents on an army vehicle. In a statement issued, the members of DSS appealed to the government to take immediate and stringent measures to strengthen the intelligence network at the grassroots level by involving local communities.
Shiv Sena (UBT) Jammu and Kashmir unit has strongly condemned the cowardly attack on Indian soldiers by terrorists in Kathua and demanded to teach a tough lesson to Pakistan.
In a press conference held here today, state chief Manish Sahni said that till when, we will tolerate the martyrdom of our soldiers. The time has come to teach a lesson to Pakistan by taking strong retaliatory action against its nefarious activities.
The workers of Dogra Front and Shiv Sena under the leadership of president, Ashok Gupta took out a massive rally by burning the effigy of Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif. The party workers raised slogans “Pakistan Hai Hai”.
“I am deeply anguished at the loss of five of our brave Indian Army soldiers in a terrorist attack in Badnota, Kathua (J&K). My deepest condolences to the bereaved families, the Nation stands firm with them in this difficult time,” stated the party president.
Sunil Dimple president Mission Statehood, leads anti Pakistan protest and burns the Pakistani flags. Addressing the protesters, Dimple said this is the cowardice act of the Pakistani terrorists, Pakistan modules, sleeper cells, Pakistan guides in J&K.
