Katra hoteliers demand celebration of Navratra festival with great fanfare

JAMMU, Sept 19:  A delegation of Hotel & Restaurant Association Katra, led by its president Rakesh Wazir and chairman Shyam Lal Kesar, called on Divisional Commissioner, Jammu Pawan Kotwal and demanded that the Navratra be held with great fanfare this year.
The Navratra Festival,  which is organized under the chairmanship of Divisional Commissioner every year,  is the major source of attraction all over India and it should   be organized this year with much fan fare especially keeping in view the fact  that Yatra is decreasing drastically every year more particularly from last two years, the Association said and added that this Festival  can act as a  facilitator  for increasing the Yatra because besides wide publicity through print and  electronic media it gives a message through out world that every thing is normal  in J&K now.
Mr Wazir also discussed the issue of Slaughter House, which is proposed to be built euroute Vaishno Devi Ji on main National Highway at Khanpur Nagrota. He  asked for shifting its site to some isolated place keeping in view  the sentiments of the people.
Pawan  Kotwal listened to the delegation patiently and said that Navratra Festival would be held with  full fanfare this year as well and further said that as far as slaughter House issue is concerned every effort would be made to find out the best possible solution of the same.
The delegation, among others, comprise of  Virender Kesar, Harish Kumar Dubey, Adv Kuldeep Dubey, Ashwani Kumar (Pulli Shah ), Nishant Sharma, Rohit Dubey, Sumit Khajuria,  Vivek Sharma, Mohit Dubey, Karan Singh Wazir, Parbhat Singh and  Vishal Sharma.
