JAMMU, Nov 12: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate for Habba Kadal Constituency, Moti Kaul today said that it has been his privilege to have a direct contact with the exiled community, especially for the last 25 years which have been the litmus test for all of us.
Addressing public gatherings at different places in Jammu and Udhampur which were being organised by BJP Displaced Unit during his campaigning Kaul termed his candidature as another opportunity to serve the community Kaul said ‘being a part of you, I am fully aware about the problems of the community which need attention. As always, I have the commitment to represent the problems in right perspective and put everything in seeking their solutions’.
‘We have to exert ourselves to work on the problems on long-term and short term basis. Unless we have a direct connection with our land of birth, our misfortunes will not be totally wiped off. For this I commit to strive for a comprehensive rehabilitation plan with a foolproof educational, cultural, economical, physical and political and socio-religious security. This should have such an arrangement so that the community does not meet again any re-foulment’, Kaul said.
He committed to ensure repair and rebuilding of temples and shrines wherever needed. Kaul also pleaded that orchardists, farmers, and tradesmen have suffered huge losses and ensured his focus towards giving them adequate remuneration.
‘Release of cash relief for which the nod has already been given by the Government of India, providing/ improving the day today amenities in migrant quarters and at Jagati Township and rectifying the problems of those KP employed youth who have been given jobs under Prime Minister’s Relief and Rehabilitation Plan in the Valley need immediate attention’ he said
Appealing to the community to make BJP’s Mission +44 a success he said that there is a hidden message that the new history is in the making.
Many Pandit leaders which include A K Raina, V Kashkari, D N Kissu, Prof G L Koul, Shadi Lal, P K Raina and others threw light on various aspects of the new emerging political importance of Kashmiri Pandits. They also assured Mr Kaul for full support and cooperation.
