JAMMU, Nov 7: BJP senior leader and Party candidate for Haba Kadal Constituency, Moti Kaul today lauded the role of Kashmiri Pandits in recently concluded Parliamentary elections and strengthening the hands of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Addressing a reception function organised in his honour by Kashmir (displaced) BJP, he said ‘It is only due to Kashmiri Pandits and the cause of community that I am in BJP. I was, I am and will be always striving for the welfare of KPs who are the worst sufferers and are living as exiles in their own country for last 25 years’’ he added.
Kaul said that the writing on the wall is evidently clear that we are going to be part in the making of a new history for the country in general and the State in particular. It seems that the dark days are going to fade away with the emergence of a new hope. At this juncture, the time demands the active participation in the Assembly elections, by making BJP’s Mission +44 a success, he added.
‘Though we excelled, existentially, in various departments of life even under hostile conditions but there are some loopholes regarding the unabated maintenance of 5000 years old cultural ethos and for this the connect with our land of birth is essentially important. It will be my utmost endeavour to work for comprehensive rehabilitation of the community, be it in education, job avenues, security, political empowerment and financial welfare. The return must be in accordance with the consent of Pandits so that they will not meet yet another refoulment.’ said Kaul.
‘The leaders of KP community present in the meeting said that this is the time to prove our adversaries wrong that the community is a divided lot. They also complimented BJP High Command for choosing a right representative of Kashmiri Pandits who has worked laboriously for the community welfare in last 25 years, in whatever capacity.
