JAMMU, Feb 21: On the 2nd day of the three days Punjabi writers seminar organized by Jammu & Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture & Languages at K L Saigal Auditorium, Writers Club of Cultural Academy, under the guidance of secretary, JKAACL Bharat Singh.
Two academic sessions were conducted. Devinder Singh Vishavnagrik, former president Punjabi Lekhak Sabha, Jammu presided over the first session whereas, RS Rajan, Punjabi writer from Kashmir and Desh Raj Danish were present in the presidium.
During the second session, Bhupinder Singh Raina, a well known Punjabi novelist presided over the second session of the day and Harjit Singh Uppal, president, Punjabi Sahitak Sabha RS Pura was present in the presidium. Research papers were presented on the topics ‘Jammu- Kashmir Di Punjabi Vaartik’ by Dr Harsimran Singh, ‘Jammu Kashmir Da Punjabi Novel’ by Amanpreet Kour, ‘Jammu- Kashmir Di Patarkari ‘ by Jang S. Verman, and ‘Jammu- Kashmir Da Punjabi Natak’ by Balwinder Kour.
The topics were restricted to the period of 2020 to 2022. The paper presenters gave the information in depth on the related aspects of the themes of their papers. As a matter of fact, the papers revealed the prospectus of various factors of creating and sharing literary activities during the hard times of Covid- 19 Pandemic and afterwards.
Dr Kamaljeet Singh and Dr Rajvir Singh conducted the proceedings of the session. Dr Arvinder Singh Aman, Additional Secretary JLAACL extended the vote of thanks.
During the third session of the day, a Kavi Darbar was organized where Pritpal Singh Betab, retired IAS and eminent Urdu and Punjabi writer presided over and Ajit Singh Mastana well known Punjabi poet from Kashmir was present in the presidium.
AS Mastana, Joginder Singh Paandhi, Ichpal Singh, Harbhajan Singh Upasak, Suraj Singh Suraj, Pritam Singh Anjaan, Jasbir Singh Sarna, Dr Monojit, Devinder Singh Raina, Rajpaul Singh Mastana, Manjit Singh Kaamra, Harjit Singh Uppal, Suraj Parkash Rattan, Karan Singh Talib, , Anju Kour, Harbhajan Singh, Harpal Singh Pali, Balwinder Singh Deep, Rajinder Singh, Swami Antar Nirav, Pyasa Anjum, Saran Star, Surinder Neer, Dr Mamta, Pritam Singh Anjan etc. read their Punjabi poems on various themes.
