Kavinder announces ambulance for Gandhi Nagar Hospital

JAMMU, Oct 29: Speaker Legislative Assembly and MLA, Gandhi Nagar, Kavinder Gupta today held a meeting of the governing body of the Rogi Kalyan Samiti of Government Hospital, Gandhi Nagar.
The meeting was attended by Medical Superintendent & Vice-Chairman, Rogi Kalyan Samiti, Dr. Younus Chowdhary besides concerned officers and other members of the Samiti.
While taking stock of the infrastructure available in the hospital and reviewing the functioning of the hospital, Gupta asked the concerned authorities to evolve effective mechanism for further streamlining of the hospital.
The Speaker reviewed of the Action Taken Report (ATR) on the decisions taken in the last meeting of Rogi Kalyan Samiti in the month of August, 2015.
Medical Superintendent of the hospital informed that renovation work of existing dilapidated wards, CCTV Cameras and bio-metric attendance system have been installed in the hospital. He further apprised that most of the development works of the hospital are completed and the rest would be completed in a stipulated time frame for the convenience of the patients. He also informed that the gas pipe line system on the pattern of Government Medical College Jammu would be installed soon in the institution.
Speaker issued directions to the concerned authorities to give priority to quality while executing new infrastructure in the hospital premises and also instructed the hospital authorities to fix priorities of the works required to be done. He directed the R&B authorities to identify alternate road for execution of work under construction hospital building to maintain proper hygiene and sanitation in the premises on priority basis. He directed to display duty roasters on OPDs and Emergency wards.
On the occasion, the Speaker announced an ambulance for the Hospital and said that Government has accorded priority to the health sector, adding that many projects are in the pipeline to strengthen the existing health infrastructure in the State.
The Hospital authorities put forth proposal for expenditure on future development works before the Chairman which include implementation of Kayakalp scheme launched under Swachh Bharat Abhiyan through RKS, utilization of RKS under National Health Mission, purchase of equipments, stationary, medical equipments and  renovation works etc.
Other decisions regarding the betterment of hospital taken in the meeting include, inviting the tenders for the canteen, parking and medical shop, herbal garden and flowers to be planted in the hospital premises.
