Kavinder appeals public to donate in ‘PM CARES Fund’

Over 100 migrant labourers provided ration

JAMMU, Apr 26: Former Dy. CM, Kavinder Gupta, distributed the essentials to more than 100 migrant labourers at Sector 2, Ward 50 Channi Himmat along with Vinay Gupta district president BJP and Corporator, Ward- 50, Neena Gupta.
Others who accompanied Gupta were Balwan Singh, Poonam Gupta, Kamlesh Magotra, Trishula Gupta, Abhishek Sharma, Gopal Sharma and Amit Sharma. While distributing grocery kits among the people social distancing was properly maintained. Pertinently Kavinder is distributing ration kits and other utilities among the poor, irrespective of their religion & caste.
On the occasion, Gupta said that outreach activities are carried by relying on the generous support of large-hearted individual donors, corporate sectors, business community and others who are selflessly donating the daily essential items for the needy persons. All such donations to this cause benefit the needy persons who come relatively from weak economic and social backgrounds.
Former Deputy Chief Minister appealed the volunteers “to motivate general public for making donations in Prime Minister’s CARES Fund” a public charitable trust which has been set up with primary objective of dealing with any kind of emergency or distress situation, like posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, and to provide relief to the affected. As the donations made to this cause shall be utilized for distress situations, whether natural or otherwise, demand expeditious and collective action for alleviating the suffering of those affected, mitigation and control of damage to infrastructure and capacities etc.
Gupta said the funds shall also be used for new technology and advance research findings maintaining and expanding the land and building (immovable) infrastructure health cares, which is extremely essential in view of the increasing demand for alarming situation due to COVID-19. Gupta added that PM, Narendra Modi has always believed and shown in actions that public participation is the most effective way to mitigate any issue and this is yet another example.
Vinay Gupta complimented his Gandhi Nagar team for working round the clock and locating the needy persons. He said since month of Ramadan has started, he along with his team will be making special kits for distribution to Muslim needy brethren. Neena Gupta councilor assured Kavinder that workers of BJP and people of Channi are trying their best to fulfill the desire of PM that no one should sleep hungry.
