Kavinder asks party men to ensure facilities reach deserving people

JAMMU, May 19: A meeting took place at BJP head office, Trikuta Nagar, where senior BJP leaders including former Deputy Chief Minister,-Kavinder Gupta, State vice president,-Dr. Narinder Singh, State secretary,-Arvind Gupta, senior BJP leader,-Varinderjeet Singh, State office secretary-Tilak Gupta and others were present.
During the meeting, Kavinder Gupta informed the party leaders that over the last two months, Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP national president, JP Nadda have been receiving feedback from party workers and leaders across the country during their interactions with them over video conference. During video conferencing and audio meeting, Central leadership had informed the party leaders of work being done by the Government for the welfare of migrant workers, MSME’s and other people during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The development comes after party top brass received feedback from workers over the need for sensitizing people about the Government’s various schemes.
Gupta said, “To take this initiative further, more information is now coming from the Government to the party, so that last mile connectivity is established with the beneficiaries.” Gupta stressed for activating the party apparatus to monitor the schemes to ensure facilities reach the intended beneficiaries during the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak. The committees which were formed from State to district level for the purpose are needed at the ward and Panchayat level, Gupta added.
“It is our responsibility to ensure the Government’s efforts help the people, for which we shall soon constitute the committees at every Panchayat level in the rural areas and ward level in the urban areas,” Gupta told the party leaders. Gupta said these committees will engage in the monitoring of schemes to ensure that the Government facilities reaching to the people.
Dr. Narinder Singh informed party leaders that in view of COVID-19 spread, “We should go ahead with including the distribution of packets of powdered decoction of herbs to boost up the immunity of the people to fight against the Coronavirus”. Dr. Narinder added that we are continuously seeking feedback from party workers about the ground realities,. Every district president has been assigned with duty of regularly talking to the ground workers and seeking feedback about the Government assistance and the assistance through our Volunteers is reaching the people”, he added.
Meanwhile continuing with distribution of raw grocery and other essentials to the needy persons in Gandhi Nagar constituency, former Deputy Chief Minister, along with district president BJP, Vinay Gupta distributed dry ration kits, face masks and sanitizers to over 100 needy families at in JMC Ward-45 and Cantonment Ward-2.
