JAMMU, Feb 29: Terming the proposed Panchayat elections, which are most probably scheduled to be held in the month of July as strategically very important for expanding the base of the party in the rural areas of the State, MLA, Gandhi Nagar, Kavinder Gupta, while interacting with people at Dharap Panchayat said, “the time is ripe for giving opposition a big blow”, by capturing all the seats in the ensuing elections.
He was accompanied by district president, Baldev Billoria, Vinay Gupta, Ch. Harbans, Kashmira Singh, Charan Singh, Baldev Singh, Pitamber Sharma, Rani Devi, Sushma Singh, Mohit Sharma and other prominent citizens of the area.
Kavinder Gupta inaugurated various developmental works also and held public darbars at different locations. He interacted with the local people in Dharap Panchayat, inspected the quality of the works being executed by PWD(R&B), PDD, PHE and Rural Development Department there.
Speaking on the occasion, Gupta asked the workers to increase their contact with public and propagate the agenda of the BJP party and make them aware of the schemes started by the “Narendra Modi led Central Government”, for the welfare of the citizens.
He further asked the people to strengthen the hands of the party and ensure its victory in the Panchayat elections so that the schemes of the Government can be properly implemented and the benefit of the same can be available to the last man standing in the queue.
Assuring the locals that he is committed and working tirelessly not only for infrastructural development but for the holistic development of the residents of Gandhi Nagar constituency and will ensure the implementation of the same at grass root level.
Lauding the schemes such as Beti Bachao Beti Padao, Swachh Bharat Mission, ASRA, Deen Dayal Upadhaya Gram Jyoti Yojna, Gramin Bhandaran Yojna and many more, launched by the BJP Government, he said that such schemes are directly linked with the common man and are playing very important role in eradicating the social as well as economic evils perpetuating in the society and asked the people to avail benefits of these schemes.
