JAMMU, Oct 6: On the last day of election campaign for JMC elections, former Deputy Chief Minister and MLA Gandhi Nagar, Kavinder Gupta addressed a series of public meetings in Gandhi Nagar Constituency.
While addressing the gathering at one of the wards, Gupta highlighted the achievements by BJP in Jammu and lambasted Congress. He said, people have full faith in BJP and asked them to wisely vote in favour of BJP candidates and elect them to the JMC as they would be in the lead role for implementation of the projects under Smart City Plan.
He said BJP candidates after their election will play a vital role in the transformation of Jammu city to Smart Jammu City. He said that Jammu will be Model City in the coming years and this will only be possible if party candidates are elected to the Corporation. Kavinder said newly created wards and the new areas included in the ambit of JMC will be given a special attention and developed as model wards. Gupta said Corporation headed by BJP will be working round the clock for the implementation of the party manifesto.
He said BJP will also work on the opening of drug de-addiction counselling centres in every ward in addition to the evening health clinics. He said a comprehensive plan for the Smart City is in pipe line. Gupta said the public shall teach the opponents a lesson in the forthcoming elections. He said after being elected as MLA, he has been successful in developing the constituency and tried his best to be available for the people of the Constituency. He highlighted the quality work being executed in the area and urged the general public to be vigilant during the course of the execution of the work.
Kavinder said some leaders of Congress are befooling the public but people are wise enough to understand the poll tactics adopted by the opponents.
