Kavinder continues distribution of ration among needy

JAMMU, May 9: Former Dy CM, Kavinder Gupta along with BJP district president, Vinay Gupta today continued with the drive to distribute ration kits and other essential commodities to people in Chatha Pind, Nanak Nagar Ward 43, Trikuta Nagar and Shastri Nagar amid the nationwide lockdown implemented to contain the spread of novel Coronavirus.
More than 200 families were provided with the ration kits and other necessities on these locations. And after programs, families covered under “Nar Sewa Narayan Sewa” program in Gandhi Nagar Constituency has accumulated to 7500 families.
“Volunteers from Sangh Parivar have started different types of activities during the Corona crisis from providing helpline numbers to various categories as per the needs to offering meals, sanitizers, masks, shelter and medical help to migrant labourers, persons who are either stranded or coming from other states, and the local daily rated workers from the urban poor to nomads, rag pickers and even animals who are an integral part of our ecosystem, most marginalised sections are served by the volunteers and Swayamsevaks on the priority basis,” said Kavinder Gupta in Nanak Nagar Ward-43 on the ration distribution program organised and funded by Councillor, Surjeet Pappu Choudhary.
Gupta added that the Swayamsevaks are playing an important role as a support system to the Government agencies in distributing ration, masks, sanitizers, safety equipment and most importantly, in sensitising the communities about the nature of the virus and explaining preventive measures.
Others who were present on the occasion were Satwari Mandal president, Bharat Bhushan Sharma, Pitamber Sharma, Neeraj Gupta, Panch Romi Kumar, Panch Jagga Kumar and Naib Sarpanch, Bahadur Lal.
He later said Congress played the main role in dividing the country in addition the Britishers who divided Akhand Bharat. Congress belief in the British principle of ‘divide & rule’ led to partition in 1947. Gupta said that “India is safe in the hands of PM Modi in all respects”. In every filed PM has shown his strength and proved himself as the global leader.
