JAMMU, Sept 15: Senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta, today strongly criticized the opposition INDIA bloc for their decision to boycott 14 broadcast media anchors.
Speaking to the media persons, Gupta emphasized that shunning media or any other institution will do no good to any political party and he urged the opposition to focus on addressing substantial issues rather than targeting journalists.
He said, “Boycotting media anchors is a futile endeavor. Instead, the opposition should consider boycotting Rahul Gandhi, as he lacks the strength and vision required to lead our nation forward.”
He further highlighted the widespread attacks on various institutions in India by the opposition alliance, including the Election Commission and the courts.
In Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory, Kavinder also criticized the opposition for recent statements made by Congress leader Saifuddin Soz and National Conference leader Farooq Abdullah, who advocated talks with Pakistan.
He pointed out that these remarks came shortly after the tragic loss of security officials in an encounter with terrorists in Kashmir. He asserted that the INDIA bloc should focus on boycotting leaders like Soz and Abdullah, rather than targeting journalists.
Kavinder emphasized the importance of safeguarding democracy, protecting institutions, and ensuring that political discourse remains focused on addressing the real concerns of the nation.
