JAMMU, Sept 19: Senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta flayed PDP chief, Mehbooba Mufti for dishonouring Tricolour at Kotranka Dak Bungalow and demanded strict action against her under law.
The BJP leader was addressing a deputation here at his residence. The senior leader met several deputations and listened to their issues and demands.
Kavinder said that the Government should take cognizance in the matter and book the PDP leader for this reprehensible act showing disregard towards the National Flag and the country. He said that it is not the first time that Mehbooba has committed such a kind of wrong as she has more of similar acts to her credit and therefore the Government should take strict action in the matter.
Earlier, a delegation of Taxi Union also met and discussed various issues and sought early elections of the Union, which have been pending since quite some time. The members of Taxi Union also projected their long pending issues regarding relief on account of setbacks to their business due to COVID-19 pandemic.
