JAMMU, Oct 4: Emphasizing on providing prompt service delivery to people at their doorsteps, Speaker Legislative Assembly, Kavinder Gupta convened public grievance redressal camps at Apna Vihar, Gangyal and Channi Himmat today.
People briefed the Speaker on various problems being faced by them pertaining to water and power supply, sanitation, upgradation of parks and improvement in the internal road networks.
While responding to the demands of the locals, the Speaker assured the public of early redressal of their projected issues and directed the concerned officers to take requisite measures to mitigate the problems flagged by the locals.
While interacting with the locals, the Speaker said numerous initiatives have been launched to fulfil the developmental aspirations of the people.
“To develop Gandhi Nagar as a Model Constituency, concerted efforts are on with focus on improving road connectivity, education, healthcare, uninterrupted power and water supply”, the Speaker asserted.
With many development projects already being launched and many more to come, developmental scenario of the constituency will certainly witness a positive change, the Speaker said.
Kavinder exhorted upon the concerned officials to reach out to the public for addressing their difficulties and problems.
He said that providing all the requisite facilities with responsive governance is among top priorities of the Government.
Later, the Speaker inaugurated upgraded lane and drain in Sector 2, Ward No. 56 at Gangyal.
