JAMMU, Sept 11: Speaker J&K Legislative Assembly and MLA Gandhi Nagar, Kavinder Gupta was felicitated and honoured by the patrons of the Akhil Bharatiya Vaishya Maha Samelan at a function organised by Vaishya Samaj in Maharashtra.
The function in which Mr Gupta was also chief guest was attended by National president ABVMS, Dr. Girish Sanghi, Ram Niwas Lakhotia,  National Executive Member and Ex MP and former president of AKVMS,  Rajani Ranjan Sahu, National Youth President of AKVMS, Gopal More, K M Gupta, Darshan  Mahajan,  Bindu Gupta and others.
Speaking on the occasion, Kavinder Gupta said, “today the Vaish community in all sphere of life is establishing new standards of success not only in production & distribution but in education, arts, medicine, technology, politics, administration, journalism etc.
He said in all these fields they have achieved notable distinction and registered their presence. Despite doing so much & being so helpful the community has not been given due recognition by the previous government. The reason is simple that it is not organised. lt does not speak in one voice-the united one. The UPA government has always took this community for granted and exploited it for its own vested interests.
So if the Vaish Community has to save itself from the administrative harassment and also to regain its high and respectable place again in the society, then it has to be united and be one. “So I appeal to you all to come forward and let us pledge ourselves to lay the foundation stone of the golden future of our people and participate in the growth of this nation and making our nation the world leader in coming days’’, he added .
