JAMMU, July 3: Former Deputy Chief Minister and Ex-MLA Gandhi Nagar constituency Kavinder Gupta kick started the blacktopping work of road in Ward Number 53, Trikuta Nagar, at the cost of Rs 60 lakh.
BJP Jammu District President Vinay Gupta, Ex MLC Vikram Randhawa, party activists, Corporators and local residents were present on the occasion.
Kavinder Gupta, while stressing upon the executing agency to maintain quality of the work, said that it should be completed within the prescribed time.
Gupta, on this occasion, shared number of mega developmental projects undertaken and completed during the last over four and half years and said that record number of 640 new transformers have been installed in different areas of the constituency, blacktopping of 640 kilometer length roads is complete now, new nallahs of 20 kilometer length have been constructed, seven new electricity stations of 33 KVA stand completed and made operational.
For better health care infrastructure, 200 bedded new hospital has been constructed adjoining the existing Gandhi Nagar Hospital, 100 bedded hospital in Rajiv Gandhi Hospital Gangyal has been established, 70 new passenger sheds are constructed in different areas and a large number of projects are in pipeline, which will be completed soon and dedicated to the people of Gandhi Nagar constituency.
Kavinder Gupta assured that besides development projects, various welfare schemes meant for the socio-economic upliftment of the poor and needy will be taken at the door steps of the genuinely deserving people in the constituency.
BJP District General Secretary Ankush Gupta, Corporators Neeraj Puri, Jyoti Devi and Ajay Gupta, Mahila Morcha Media Secretary Prerna Nanda, party activists and local residents Chander Mohan Abrol, Rajat Gupta, Sameer Andotra, Piara Singh, Kapil Khurana, Vishal Gupta and many others were present on the occasion.
