JAMMU, July 5: Opposition parties are doing great disservice to the people of the country by concocting baseless allegations against the Delimitation Commission, which is doing its job with utmost dedication and impeccable integrity to rationalize constituencies in the UT of J&K to ensure justice to people and add more vibrancy to the Indian democracy.
This was stated by the senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta while distributing free medicines at Qasim Nagar and Rajeev Nagar localities falling in Ward No. 47. Vinay Gupta, district president, BJP, Narinder Koki secretary, Corporator Sharda Kumari, Shalu Gupta Prabhari, Savita Anand district president, Mahila Morcha, Vivek Patyal, Sumit Bajrangi and Dalbir Singh were also present.
Kavinder said that BJP Government at the Centre never believed in imposing its ideology forcefully and through deceit. He said that those raising fingers against BJP Government for misusing the Commission for party’s benefit must be feeling guilty conscious as they used to do the same during their regimes in the country.
He said that BJP is not a dynastic party and whatever the Government comprising its leadership does is always in the interest of the country with accountability and transparency being the top most priority and no room left for any kind of corruption.
The senior BJP leader said like all other matters, once Delimitation of the constituencies will be completed in J&K and the outcome will be made public, the people will themselves get to know about the sinister plan of Opposition parties to create an atmosphere against the BJP by spreading canards against working of the Commission.
BJP leader also launched the blacktopping work of road in Trikuta Nagar falling in Ward No. 54. While addressing a gathering, he said that the work worth Rs 40 lakh will help in making life of people convenient as this was the long pending demand of the locals to black-top the road stretch.
Later in the day, Kavinder commenced the blacktopping work at Sainik Colony at the estimated cost of Rs 45 lakh.
