JAMMU, May 31: Speaker State Assembly and MLA Gandhi Nagar, Kavinder Gupta was the chief guest in various inauguration functions held in his Constituency today.
Mr Gupta inaugurated Elite Dental Clinic at Gandhi Nagar; Amul Ice Cream parlor at Shastri Nagar, Dance Institute at Gandhi Nagar, and Grievances Redresal Office at Shastri Nagar.
The functions were attended by Subash Jandial, Vinay Gupta, Jaideep Sharma, Baldev Billoria, Pt. Ashok Khajuria, Pappu Chowdhary, Indu Bhushan, Dr. Suresh Magotra, Arvind Gupta, Er. Ashwani Khosla, Shanty Singh, Vijender Dutta, Rahul sharma and other prominent citizens of the area.
Lauding the initiative taken by the youngsters by opening these business units, Kavinder Gupta said that in this era where the unemployment rate is so high and the youths are finding it difficult to get jobs; government is also extending his helping hand through different agencies such as JKEDI, District Employment Exchanges, DIC and various others for helping the youths in establishing their own business, he added.
The Speaker said that these young entrepreneurs are the assets of our State as they are not only helping themselves by establishing such type of units but they are benefitting the society at large as they are generating employment opportunities for others also through these business units which in turn will help the government in fighting against the problem of unemployment.
Later he visited Colonel Colony, Opposite airport along with officers of PHE and PWD and inspected the area. He directed the PHE and PWD officials to expedite the work of providing water supply and blacktopping of the road of the locality.
