Kavinder meets Green Belt morning walkers

JAMMU, Jan 23: Continuing his daily interaction with the people of his constituency, Speaker, Legislative Assembly and MLA Gandhi Nagar, Kavinder Gupta visited Green Belt Park and interacted with the morning walkers of the area here today.
The Speaker was accompanied by CTO JMC, Tariq Raina, AEE JMC, Gurcharan Singh, Ankush Gupta, Indu Bushan, Satvir Singh, Sandeep Gupta and officers of PHE, PDD and PWD (R&B).
The Morning Walkers Association (MWA) also put forth few demands pertaining to the construction of toilet complex and a fountain for beautification of the park along with installation of few benches and cleaning of the adjoining nallah, in front of the Speaker.
Replying to the demands, the Speaker assured that all these issues will be taken up with the concerned department for its early implementation. He also directed the CTO for getting the deep drain clean.
The Speaker informed that all the main roads of the Green Belt area were blacktopped and the remaining work will resume by the first week of March as the weather conditions change.
Lauding the efforts of the Government in providing all basic amenities to the people across the State, he said all the departments are directed to ensure the quality and time bound completion of the works in hand.
He also informed that more than 100 crore have been earmarked for improving the drainage scenario of Gandhi Nagar constituency and the work is going on in full swing to avoid any damage to the public or private property in future.
