JAMMU, Nov 29: Mahajan Sabha, Channi Himmat released the ‘Telephone Directory’ of the Mahajan families residing in Channi Himmat Colony and adjoining areas.
The Telephone Directory was released by Kavinder Gupta, Speaker Legislative Assembly in presence of Rakesh Gupta, MLA Jammu East, Naresh Gupta MLC, Vinod Gupta President Central Mahajan Sabha, Shalamar Road, Jammu, Ved Mahajan Ex-MLC and Rakesh Gupta, President, Chamber of Commerce and Industries.
AK Jandial, President of the Sabha presented the welcome address and highlighted the activities being carried out by the Sabha including opening of marriage bureau at Channi Himmat, opening of free medical centre at Channi, honoring the KAS, IPS, KPS, Medical Engineering aspirants and students who secured above 90 per cent marks in 10+2 examination, financial help to Mahajan Widows, organsing cultural programme, organizing talks and debates of different age groups of children on social evils. He also threw light on the purpose of publishing the Telephone Directory’
While speaking, Kavinder Gupta, who was chief guest on the occasion, said that the Telephone Directory will be real encyclopedia and reference book for the community people. He assured all assistance to the Sabha for its fruitful functioning.
Vinod Gupta, President, Central Mahajan Sabha stated that this type of reference book by Sabha of Channi Himmat will encourage the other Sabhas of the Central Mahajan.
