Kavinder reviews status of public amenities

JAMMU, Sept 14: Former Deputy CM and MLA Gandhi Nagar, Kavinder Gupta today toured interiors of Raipur Satwari area to review the status of public amenities wherein he observed the need to upgrade basic infrastructure in the locality.
On this occasion Gupta informed locals that many works brought to his notice earlier have been completed and for remaining codal formalities have been completed to start the work soon.
He further said that for some works detailed project reports are being prepared and a carefully calculated plan is being chalked out for phase by phase infrastructure development of the area.
He directed the concerned agencies to conduct a detailed feasibility report in accordance with the topography and other factors to ensure durability, longevity of the works being undertaken.
He also urged Rural Development, PWD, PHE and other departments to regularly interact with locals to gauge the on ground performance of their respective departments.
He stressed Government officers for reaching out to public for all the Government schemes of socio economic aspects, development, agricultural and all other fields so that they can be benefitted to the optimum level.
Later the MLA handed over a Scooty to Shashi Bala of Gandhi Nagar Constituency. The provision of such type of two-wheelers to physically challenged persons is covered through Social Welfare Department by State Rehabilitation Council.
