Kavinder starts development works

JAMMU, Jan 1: Former Deputy Chief Minister & senior leader BJP, Kavinder Gupta visited many sites for the ongoing development projects being executed in the Gandhi Nagar constituency. The areas where he visited and where the work is under progress were Channi, Sanjay Nagar, Shastri Nagar, Digiana, G, Bhore Camp and Greater Kailash. He took the stock of the construction works. He was accompanied by Chairman Health & Sanitation Committee JMC, Baldev Billawria, district president, BJP, Vinay Gupta, Councilor Anil Kumar, Darshan Abrol, Capt.(retd) Jigmeet Singh, Rohit Verma among other prominent persons of the locality, local BJP leaders and social workers. He inspected work of lanes of Greater Kailash being executed by JMC.
While addressing the gathering present on the occasion, Gupta said that as promised the long pending demand of the residents have been met. Gupta informed public that Rs 92 crore have been approved and sanctioned particularly for Gandhi Nagar Constituency and all the approved works will be executed well in time.
He said that “real development has been witnessed during last five years in the State and Gandhi Nagar constituency in particular”. “Sabka Saath -Sabka Vikas-Sabka Vishwas”is the slogan of BJP and it is extending every possible help to make it a success. “However, every one of us has to contribute as it becomes our collective responsibility to keep our surroundings neat and clean”, Gupta added.
He stressed upon the concerned authorities to expedite the progress on these vital works to ensure their timely completion. Gupta stressed for an effective mechanism for regular monitoring and follow up of all ongoing development works by Deputy Commissioner concerned. He also exhorted upon them to hold periodic review meetings with all the stake holders to meet the purpose behind launch of these projects envisaging improvement in living standards of people.
Gupta urged the Deputy Commissioner to identify any financial or technical barrier causing delay in development works in the newly included areas in JMC, for larger interest of the society. Gupta lauded the seriousness of the Lieutenant Governor for the execution of various projects. He said many projects are still pending for the administrative approvals and he will take up the issue with Lieutenant Governor.
