NEW DELHI, Jan 16: Senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta today slammed NC leader, Mustafa Kamal for leveling allegations that the BJP Government orchestrated Uri and Pulwama attacks leading to deaths of so many soldiers.
Speaking on the sidelines of BJP National Executive Meeting in New Delhi, the BJP leader from J&K said that Mustafa Kamal like other leaders of the National Conference (NC) change stance as per convenience because their stands differ with the status of the party when in power they say something else and make U-turn when out of power.
He said that this time Mustafa has crossed all the limits because not only the NC leader has insulted the Government of India but also has mocked the martyrdom of the valiant soldiers of the country.
Kavinder categorically said that the NC leader has lost his mind because no sane political personality could make such unfounded accusations in public that too without any substantial evidence or proof. He said that NC has become desperate after remaining out of power and with chances becoming bleak to even win a single seat in the forthcoming Assembly polls. He said that such irrelevant and groundless statements show that the NC leadership is already aware of the election results and that is why trying to sway disgruntled elements through the anti-national route to garner support and ensure a graceful defeat because winning election this time is not NC’s cup of tea.
The senior BJP leader also lauded the probing agencies for getting vital leads in the Rajouri terror attack. He asked the people that sooner than later the perpetrators of the Dhangri attack will be brought to book. He also asked the people to shun fear as the Government has ensured a failsafe security grid in the entire region and sooner than later more troops are being shifted to J&K to further brace up security and make a robust security grid for safety and security of the common man both in Kashmir and Jammu regions.
Meanwhile party spokesman, Altaf Thakur has also taken serious exception to statement of NC leader and sought action under law against him.
He while, strongly reacting to the statement of Dr Kamal termed it anti national and alleged that the NC leader was supporting Pakistan by doubting the role of forces in J&K. He said his comments are totally shameful and un -tolerable.
