JAMMU, Jan 3: Asserting that Gandhi Nagar will be developed as a model constituency, BJP State general secretary & MLA Gandhi Nagar Assembly Constituency, Kavinder Gupta today sought people’s wholehearted support in realizing this dream.
This will be in consonance with the idea of the Constituency being transformed as Nava Jammu, Gupta said while addressing felicitation functions at Old Satwari, Shomali Mohalla, Govindpura Chatha. Complimenting the people for their valuable support in sending him in Assembly, Gupta unfolded his vision of holistic development of this important Constituency and said keeping in view the fast growth in country under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, expansion of Gandhi Nagar has become imperative.
He said the area has huge potential to grow and all efforts would be made to put in place requisite infrastructure and utility services required for holistic development. Gupta said the people will not find him wanting to realize the dream which will unfold vistas of opportunities for the residents. He assured the people that as a foot soldier of BJP he will leave no stone unturned in making Gandhi Nagar a developmental model for other constituencies to emulate.
“BJP is not just a political party, it is a movement that has shaped the destiny of country by overcoming challenges during most turbulent times”, he said, adding the trust reposed by people in BJP will be returned back by taking every step possible to overcome the difficulties especially during past few decades and steer the State to peace, tranquility, progress and development.
Gupta said BJP believes a cohesive society where each person, irrespective of region, religion or race, has equal opportunities to progress and prosper. He said unity in diversity is the real strength of Jammu and Kashmir, which is to be maintained at all costs.
