Kazmi demands amnesty for power consumers

JAMMU, Feb 9: Apni Trade Union president, Ajaz Kazmi has urged upon the Government to announce amnesty in favour of power consumers especially traders, hoteliers, Shikara owners and other businessmen in J&K.
In a handout, Kazmi said that COVID-19 situation in J&K has turned the profitable business establishments into losses.
He said that business community has suffered and many private sector employees have lost their jobs due to persistent unfavorable situation.
“The situation for general masses is also the same. They too are suffering because of the poor financial activities and hence the Government should consider general amnesty for all power consumers including the business community,” Kazmi maintained and also demanded financial package to support the sinking business establishments.
