Kazmi demands package for industrial sector

JAMMU, July 7: State president Apni Trade Union Ajaz Kazmi has appealed to the Lt Governor Jammu and Kashmir to address the problems being faced by the business fraternity by doling out an industrial package.
In a statement issued today, Kazmi said to put on rails the industrial and business sectors that have been badly hit due to COVID pandemic in the last two years, Government should without any delay announced a handsome industrial packages for industrial sector.
He also urged the LG to regularize all daily wagers and need based employees keeping in view their service tenures and the laudable services they are rendering in hard times of COVID-19. He also advocated for opening of gyms and other centers with proper SOPs.
Kazmi also appealed the administration to waive off electricity bills of consumers in view of COVID pandemic looming large here for last more than a year that has made their financial conditions deplorable.
Welcoming the new industrial policy, he said that the locals should be preferred in employment in industrial units across J&K. “The jobs of local youth should be reserved in the industrial sector in both skilled and unskilled,” he said. He said that the Government should make sure that the industries follow the directions and give opportunity to the locals in employment in different fields.
