JAMMU, Sept 21: The International Day of Peace was held in the junior wing of KC Public School as part of Gandhi- king Literary Society constituted under the auspices of Gandhi Peace Foundation, Jammu centre.
Prior to celebrations, students were engaged in diverse activities related to envisioning peace, developing global awareness, and making a positive difference in the world.
A special assembly was held in which students were motivated to become peace makers. A pledge to maintain peace was administered by the Headmistress Sofia Rana. Addressing the students she said that peace is like a river which has to keep flowing perpetually with abundant feelings of love, brotherhood and harmony.
The staff and students prayed for the people of Syria and restoration of peace.
