JAMMU, May 7: As the only Round Square School in J&K, KC Public School invested deep faith in the ideal of democracy and put it into practice by holding elections for the positions of responsibility in the Students Council of the School every year.
Elections were organized by students themselves, using electronic machines (EVMs) developed by them. Teachers performed the role of polling officers in the conduct of the elections. All elected members administered oath of office at an investiture ceremony which was held today in the sports hall of KC Sports Club. Parents of all elected and nominated members of the Students’ Council for the year 2024-25 graced the occasion with their presence.
The ceremony commenced with the school choir group presenting the school song followed by a ceremonial march-in of the contingents of elected and nominated members of the Council led by the School Head Girl holding the school flag. After that, Principal of the school, Amarendra Kumar Mishra, administered a collective oath of office to all Council members. In his address to the gathering, he congratulated them for being elected and wished them great success in carrying out their duties and responsibilities with dedication, fairness and courage.
Vice Principal Sanjay Pandey lauded the parents for gracing the ceremony with their presence and assured them that it is a Round Square school. KCPS would continue to inculcate among students of KCPS qualities of leadership and the sense of commitment to the cause of service to the deprived and marginalized segments of human society.
