KCA’s concern over non payment of emoluments

SRINAGAR, Apr 8: Kashmiri Councilors Association (KCA) president, Rakesh Koul and convener, Sheikh Mohi-u-Din Shabnam have demanded emoluments for the councilors and Corporators of the State.
In a statement issued here, today they said despite the promise made by the Government the corporators and councilors were not paid emoluments till date. Moreover they even have not been assigned any work as the Government is not taking concrete steps to assign them jobs in their respective areas.
The Association representatives while making an appeal to Governor, Satya Pal Malik sought his intervention in the matter and said being the public representatives at grass root level the Governor should convene a meeting with the Association.
