SRINAGAR, Jan 21: Kashmir Chamber of Commerce & Industry representatives today met with Badar Shamim, Director and Vice Chairman, Brampton Board of Trade, the ninth largest chamber of Brampton, Canada here.
Shamim was on his visit to Srinagar to discuss business avenues available in Canada for various sectors including Kashmir handicrafts, tourism, agriculture, horticulture and the majors and arrangements that need to be made to explore the avenues.
Mushtaq Ahmad Wani, senior Vice President, who led the representatives, said that the participants agreed to sign Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Brampton Board of Trade and KCCI on promotion of handicrafts, tourism, agriculture, horticulture and food processing business in Canada.
“It was also agreed that trade delegations between Canada and Kashmir will be exchanged from time to time so as to help promote the export market products in Canada, besides co-operate and making efforts that are aimed at promoting the mutual business interests of Kashmir and Canada,” he said.
