SRINAGAR, May 25: The president, Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI), Javed Ahmad Tenga today drew attention of the State Government towards the unprecedented delay in finalization of the Srinagar Master Plan.
Tenga in a statement said that this delay has resulted in complete choking of all legitimate developmental, commercial and infrastructural activities in Srinagar.
He said the development of other important towns and tourist spots also suffered due to similar delays. “The inhabitants of the capital city are suffering due to lack of adequate infrastructural growth leading to permanent bottlenecks, jams and congestion of roads,” he said
He expressed the concern of the business community and urged the State Government to revisit the procedure of drafting of Master Plans which needed to be a time-bound and open exercise.
