JAMMU, Dec 22: KC Gurukul Public School (KCGPS) today celebrated its ‘Annual Day’ function with a big bash here in its school premises.
The function was presided over by Minister for Health, Horticulture and Floriculture, Sham Lal Sharma, who was chief guest on the occasion while Chief Education Officer, Jammu, Natha Ram Dhingra, Commissioner, Scouts and Guides, Jammu, ID Soni, Manoj Kumar Dwivedi from Department of Health and Sciences, DIG, Jammu, JP Singh were the guests of honour.
The programme started with the Chairman, Arvind Mahajan, receiving the guests along with school Band with its melodious note.
Dr BR Dogra, principal of the School, read out a brief annual report highlighting the achievements for the year 2012 and proposed ambitious plans for the session 2013-14.
A variety of colourful activities jointly put up by KC Play-Way and KC Gurukul Public School were presented on the occasion.
In his address, Sham Lal Sharma, applauded the efforts of the students, teachers and the School management in making the programme a great success. He felt highly honoured to be amongst luminary guests and educational fraternity and wished the students good luck in their sincere efforts. He urged the teachers to understand the potential of each child and guide them in all spheres of education.
The function concluded with vote of thanks by the Chairman of the School, Arvind Mahajan, who extended his gratitude to the chief guest and other dignitaries and worthy parents for sparing their valuable time.
